How does Spambrella detect BEC attacks that contain no links or attachments?

Home Knowledge Base How does Spambrel...

BEC attacks are particularly dangerous precisely because they carry none of the traditional threat indicators – no malicious links, no infected attachments, no known-bad sender domains. Spambrella’s anti-impersonation engine detects BEC through: display name analysis (identifying when a message claims to be from a known executive but originates externally), lookalike domain detection (catching subtle variations such as “rn” substituted for “m”), header authentication analysis (SPF, DKIM, DMARC cross-referencing), and anomalous communication pattern detection. Suspicious messages are tagged, quarantined, or flagged depending on configured policy.
